A strong performance on the second day of competition propelled the Tide to a victory over the Wildcats as UA remained undefeated in conference dual meets
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 19/18 Alabama men's and women's swimming and diving team swept Kentucky in a two-day dual meet that concluded Saturday with UA claiming 22 event wins. The Tide's performance led to a 175-144 victory on the men's side and a 163-156 win on the women's side.
Head Coach Margo Geer Said
"I was really proud of the team and the way we competed this weekend. This was a great challenge for us, all around, having to go on the road and face an SEC team. This was also a three session meet but we rose to the challenge and competed better in the last session than we did in the first two. It feels great to get the win on both sides, but there are still a lot of opportunities for us to improve moving forward."
