Baseball Sweeps Season-Opening Series
Our baseball team was firing on all cylinders, in every facet of the game in its series sweep of Richmond. It was a chilly day-turned-into-night for Friday's opener, where we scored 11 unanswered runs between the second and fifth innings en route to a 12-3 victory. Saturday, 15 hits turned into 13 runs while the Spiders were able to get one run across home plate to give us the series win before Sunday's 14-1 performance completed the sweep. In total, we scored 39 runs, including four home runs, and had 25 solid innings of pitching. The team will take its first road trip of the season this weekend, however we have two midweek opportunities to catch the Tide beforehand with 3 p.m. starts on Tuesday and Wednesday against Tennessee Tech and UT Martin, respectively.

Tennis Earns a Pair of Wins over the Weekend
Our men's and women's tennis teams secured wins over the weekend with the men posting a 6-1 victory over ETSU on Friday before the women tallied a 5-2 win over Tulane on Saturday. Both will be back in action later this week, participating in the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery. #RollTideFriday
While we haven't seen any snow in Tuscaloosa this year, these two submissions show us plenty! First, we have Dr. Jay Walker checking in from Mammoth Mountain in California, and secondly, we have Robert Earnhardt in Antarctica.
