The Crimson Tide defeated the Cyclones 5-2, before shutting out the Skyhawks, 4-0
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team swept another Saturday doubleheader with a 5-2 victory over Iowa State, followed by a 4-0 shutout against UT Martin. With the victories, the Crimson Tide moves to 8-1 on the 2020 season.

From Coach Mainz
"After Thursday's match against Michigan State I thought we really had to come out and have a convincing match," said head coach Jenny Mainz. "We needed to play better and more aggressive doubles and run our plays more authoritatively and make more first serves. I thought we got off to a good start, we played better doubles which was encouraging and I thought we finished well this afternoon with UT Martin."
Doubles (vs. Iowa State)
The Tide earned the doubles point to start with 6-3 victories from senior Alba Cortina Pou and freshman Sasha Gorchanyuk on court two, along with seniors Jacqueline Pelletier and Luca Fabian on court three.
Singles (vs. Iowa State)
Selim quickly doubled the Alabama advantage with her 6-0, 6-1 thrashing of Margarita Timakova. Later on, Cortina Pou earned her seventh straight win of 2020 after besting Christin Hsieh, 6-3, 6-1. Following a loss on court four, the Tide clinched the match with Ito dropping Thasaporn Naklo, 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 1 spot.
