The Crimson Tide shut out the Bulls and move to 9-1 on the season
TAMPA, Fla. – The Alabama women's tennis team topped the USF Bulls in a 7-0 shutout Sunday afternoon in Tampa, Fla. With today's win, the Crimson Tide moves to 9-1 on the 2020 season.
In doubles play, No. 56 junior Moka Ito and freshman Isabella Harvison moved to 6-1 in dual match season at the No. 1 lineup spot. In the No. 2 spot, Senior Alba Cortina Pou and freshman Sasha Gorchanyuk also moved to a 6-1 record.

"South Florida is a good team. I thought the match was very competitive at all spots. We needed another tough road test and we got it. We played a solid match today all the way through. We did a good job in doubles and then grabbed five first sets in singles. Overall, we played with better intensity today."
Doubles
Alabama took a 1-0 advantage after two quick doubles wins to start the match. Cortina Pou/Gorchanyuk topped Eland/Perello, 6-3. Shortly after, No. 56 Ito/Harvison earned the victory over Boy/Mjos, 6-4.
Singles
The Tide continued its momentum into singles play winning all six matches. Ito and Fabian got things started earning individual victories in straight sets. Cortina Pou clinched the match for the Tide, moving to 9-0 on the season with a 6-4, 6-3 win. After dropping the first set, Harvison bounced back to win the match, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2. Senior Ann Selim outlasted her opponent with a 6-3, 7-5 victory and lastly, freshman Ares Teixido won by default in the third set due to a retired player for the Bulls.
