
Alabama Soccer Travels to Texas to Face Rice and Lamar

The Crimson Tide will play the Rice Owls on Thursday and the Lamar Cardinals on Sunday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women's soccer faces its first two road tests when they travel to Texas. The Crimson Tide will face Rice Thursday night at 7 p.m. CT in Houston and will play against Lamar on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT in Beaumont.

Tide Falls 1-0 to No. 22 BYU
- BYU's Mikayla Colohan – 8th minute (1-0)
- Alabama maintained possession 62 percent of the match
- Junior goalkeeper Alex Plavin collected eight saves
- The Tide finished the match with nine shots, three of which were on frame
3-0 Shutout Win vs. Utah
- Junior Brynn Martin – 31st minute with a successful long shot (1-0)
- Freshman Macy Clem – first career goal at the 73rd minute (2-0)
- Junior Casey Wertz – penalty kick at the 77th minute (3-0)
- The Tide outshot the Utes 15-8 with sophomore Riley Mattingly leading the team with four shots
- Alabama earned nine more corner kicks (10-1) than Utah
- Plavin grabbed four saves and earned her first win of the season in the shutout victory
