
Doris Lemngole Named SEC’s Outdoor Track and Field Women’s Runner of the Year

The announcement marks the first time an Alabama student-athlete has earned the honor since Tamara Clark in 2021
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama track and field standout Doris Lemngole was named the Southeastern Conference Women's Runner of the Year, the league office announced Monday.
With the announcement, Lemngole became the first Crimson Tide student-athlete to earn the award since Tamara Clark in 2021.
Doris Lemngole
- Won the SEC Women's Commissioner's Trophy after accumulating the most individual points (20) at the SEC Outdoor Championships
- Swept the women's steeplechase and 5,000-meter conference titles for the second consecutive season
- Became the first student-athlete in SEC history to win the women's steeplechase title in three consecutive seasons, clocking a then-world-leading 9:18.66 to set both the meet and facility records
- Clocked 15:30.69 to win gold in the 5,000m
