
Junior Catcher Karlee Ford joins Alabama Softball

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Rising junior catcher Karlee Ford will join Alabama softball with two years of eligibility remaining having spent the last two seasons at Iowa State.
Ford started all 55 games in 2026 with the Cyclones, earning NFCA Second Team All-Region and Second Team All-Big 12 honors. She batted .345 (59-for-171) with 36 runs scored, 14 doubles, 10 home runs and was second on the team with 49 RBIs. She earned All-Big 12 Freshman Team honors in 2025, hitting .317 (26-for-82) over 38 games played with over half of her hits going for extra bases.
Ford is the third newcomer this offseason to join the Crimson Tide along with redshirt freshman pitcher Kailey Plumlee and junior outfielder Noelani Livingstone. The 2027 Alabama roster also includes 14 returnees from its 2026 Women's College World Series semifinal squad along with five incoming freshmen.
