TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama volleyball opens the 2024 season hosting the Crimson Tide Invitational. Action at Foster Auditorium opens Friday, Aug. 30 with matches against Grambling State (12:30 p.m.) and The Citadel (7 p.m. CT) before concluding Saturday, Aug. 31 against UT Martin (2 p.m.).

SCOUTING ALABAMA
- Alabama volleyball opens its 2024 campaign this weekend at home, hosting the Crimson Tide Invitational with matches against Grambling State, The Citadel and UT-Martin
- This is the fourth time in the last five years Alabama has opened the season at home, including all three seasons under head coach Rashinda Reed
- Alabama returns 10 players from last season, including starters Chaise Campbell and Callie Kieffer, while welcoming six freshmen and four transfers
- Campbell and Kieffer finished last year ranked in the top 10 in the SEC in hitting percentage (.321) and assists per set (9.27), respectively
- Reed begins her third year as Alabama's head coach, as do associate head coach Matt Scott and assistant coach Chelsi Carter while Will Boyd was hired as a third assistant in the offseason, having most recently oversaw the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns offense and setters group in 2023 that finished second in the Sun Belt in assists (1,481, 12.45/set) with setter Siena DeCambra rankings third individually (1,165, 10.22/set)

ALABAMA TO APPEAR IN FOUR NATIONALLY-TELEVISED MATCHES IN 2024
- Alabama volleyball is slated to play in four nationally-televised matches this fall, including its first-ever appearance on ESPN
- The Crimson Tide's SEC opener marks its first televised contest of the season, a midweek road match in Knoxville against Tennessee on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. CT on the SEC Network
- Four days later Alabama heads down to The Plains to face Auburn on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 4 p.m. CT on the SEC Network
- One week later, the SEC Network heads to Foster Auditorium on Sunday, Oct. 6 as the Tide hosts Georgia at 2 p.m. CT
- The fourth and final scheduled televised matchup will air on ESPN, marking Alabama's first appearance on the network, as the Tide welcomes two-time defending national champion and league newcomer Texas to Foster Auditorium on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 12 p.m. CT
