
Alabama Track and Field Announces NCAA East Preliminary Contingent

The Crimson Tide is sending 41 student-athletes to the NCAA East Preliminary in Bloomington, Ind., including 23 men and 18 women
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – A total of 41 members of the Alabama track and field teams are set to compete at the NCAA East Preliminary in Bloomington, Ind., next week. The Crimson Tide's contingent includes 23 men, 18 women and 33 who are slated to compete in individual events, a tally that includes seven who have earned berths in multiple individual events.
In addition to its 39 individual event slots, Alabama has qualified both the men's and women's 4x100-meter relays and 4x400-meter relays. Athletes who ranked among the top 48 in their respective events in the NCAA East earned a spot in the preliminary round.
Eliud Kipsang (1,500 meters), Isaac Odugbesan (shot put) and Bobby Colantonio Jr. (hammer) are all seeded No. 1 in their respective events heading into the NCAA East Preliminary
