2019-20

Indoor

Awarded silver in the 5,000-meter run at the SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 15:53.97. She also placed fourth in the women's 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:16.38.
Finished first among collegians and broke the 5,000m school record with a time of 15:37.35 at the Husky Classic. The time holds the sixth spot in the NCAA so far this season. The Alabama school record was previously held by Jessica Fry with a time of 16:06.91, nearly 30 seconds behind Chelangat's new record.
Traveled to the Indiana University Relays and finished first among collegiate field in the 3,000-meter run (fast section) with a time of 9:22.64.
Finished fifth in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:57.95 at the Samford Invitational.
