
Alabama Women’s Tennis Duo Bencheikh and Hiser Fall in Consolation Quarterfinals at ITA National Fall Championships

The Crimson Tide returns to competition January 23 as the team hosts Samford and Troy at the Alabama Tennis Stadium
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Alabama women's tennis players Loudmilla Bencheikh and Anne Marie Hiser fell in the consolation quarterfinals on Saturday at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif., concluding the duo's run at the ITA National Fall Championships.
Bencheikh and Hiser faced off with Melodie Collard and Hibah Shaikh from Virginia in the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket. The two teams traded points in the first set, meeting at a 4-4 score. The Cavaliers took advantage of some competitive rallies to win the first set 6-4. Despite another set of long rallies in the second set, the Tide tandem could not regain momentum, falling 6-0.
