Opening Tip
- This is a crucial game for both teams as Florida currently has a one-game lead in the SEC standings over Alabama. If the season ended today the Gators would be the No. 9 seed in the SEC Tournament, while the Crimson Tide would be the No. 10 seed.
- For the season, redshirt junior Jordan Lewis leads the team in points (13.1), assists (3.6) and steals (1.3). After her season-high 25-point performance last game, she now has 1,088 career points which is No. 21 on Alabama's scoring list. Lewis took over the No. 7 spot in career assists at UA earlier this month.
- Senior Ashley Knight is currently averaging 1.84 blocks per game which is No. 48 in the nation and fifth in the SEC. Her 46 blocked shots this season are good enough for No. 44 in the country and sixth in the conference. The 46 swats are the ninth-most most by an Alabama player in a single season.
- Junior Jasmine Walker is one of the best three-point shooters in the conference, as she is fifth in the SEC in three-point makes (48) and makes per game (1.96). Walker leads the team in shots attempted (264), shots made (104), three-point makes (49) and three-point attempts (132). The Montgomery native also is tops on the team in rebounds per game with 7.0.
- Alabama is one of the best in the country at getting to the free throw line. The Crimson Tide is No. 30 in the nation in free throw attempts (504) and No. 28 in makes (356). UA is knocking down its attempts at a 70.6 percent clip which is good enough for fourth in the SEC.
- The Crimson Tide is also one of the best three-point shooting teams in the SEC, coming in at fourth in the conference in attempts (510), makes (169) and makes per game (6.8).
- The Alabama bench has outscored its opponents, 759-404 (30.6 avg. - 16.2 avg), in 25 games this season. The Tide reserves lead the SEC in total bench points and bench points per game. The bench has outscored opponents in 24 of 25 games in 2019-20. The reserves have accounted for 42.1 percent of the UA's scoring, with senior Cierra Johnson (8.1) leading the bench. Alabama is 8-0 when the bench puts up 35 points or more.
