Women’s Tennis Takes to the Road to Play San Diego State and CSUN

The Crimson Tide will travel to San Diego, Calif., for the two matches on Friday and Saturday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team is ready to hit the road and take on San Diego State (Jan. 31) and Cal State Northridge (Feb. 1) at the Aztec Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif., this weekend. The Crimson Tide (4-0) will play versus the Aztecs (2-0) at 4 p.m. CT on Friday and the Matadors (1-0) at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday.

- Alabama has started the season 4-0 for the third consecutive season after picking up wins over Kennesaw State, Alabama A&M, Indiana and Lipscomb. The Tide has yet to give up a point, after the four shutouts over the last two weekends.
- Two of the Alabama freshmen have a perfect 4-0 mark in dual match singles play in Ares Teixido and Isabella Harvison.
- In doubles, No. 51 Harvison and junior Moka Ito are 3-1 in the No. 1 doubles spot, while freshman Sasha Gorchanyuk and senior Alba Cortina Pou are a perfect 3-0 in the No. 2 spot.

- The Aztecs are 2-0 after picking up home wins over UC Riverside and UC San Diego last weekend. SDSU has one nationally ranked singles player in No. 113 Nnena Nadozie.
- The Matadors are 1-0 after earning a season-opening win against Westmont on Jan. 25. A season ago, CSUN finished 14-6 overall and 3-5 in Big West Conference matches.
