Alabama Soccer Faces Auburn in First Round of SEC Tournament

The Crimson Tide will play the Tigers at 1 p.m. CT
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama soccer team will make its 12th appearance at the SEC Tournament, taking on Auburn in the first game of the event. The match on Sunday Nov. 3 will kick off at 1 p.m. CT at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. Alabama enters as the seventh seed and Auburn enters at tenth. This match, as well as the entire tournament will be broadcasted live on SEC Network.
About Alabama
- The Tide has a current record of 9-6-3, 4-4-2 against SEC opponents.
- Junior forward Casey Wertz leads the team with 17 points (5g-7a). Wertz concluded the 2018 season as the team's top scorer with 16 points (8g), surpassing her past total with her goal against Vanderbilt.
- Freshman Carlee Giammona leads the squad with 50 shots taken, followed by Wertz with 48.
- Through 17 matches this season, Alabama has seen 12 different players score a goal.
Scouting Auburn
- Sunday's match-up marks the 28th meeting in series history between the Tide and the Auburn Tigers and the second this season.

- The Tigers ended its 2018 campaign with a 12-6-2 overall record, 4-5-1 in the SEC. Their season concluded in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament with an 0-2 loss to Minnesota.
