Alabama Set to Play at ITA Southern Regional Championships in Oxford This Weekend

OXFORD, Miss. – The Alabama women's tennis team is set to compete in the ITA Southern Regional Championships hosted by Ole Miss, beginning on Friday at 8 a.m. CT in Oxford, Miss.
The Crimson Tide will travel seven singles players and three doubles pairs for the annual fall tournament.
Senior No. 70 Andie Daniell comes in as the No. 5 seed in the tournament and will open play against Rikeetha Pereira (Southern Miss), while junior Luca Fabian is set to take on Elsa Pool (Samford), and junior Jacqueline Pelletier will matchup against Elena Muller (Tulane).
Sophomore Moka Ito has a first-round match against Daniela La Fuente (Tulane), while junior Alba Cortina Pou drew Allie Sanford (Ole Miss). Junior Ann Selim opens up play versus Natalia De Ugarte (Samford) and junior Kimberley Gintrand earned a first round bye in her singles draw.
In doubles, Daniell/Ito are the No. 6 seed and will take on Lindsay Song/Caroline Turner (Auburn), while Pelletier/Gintrand will be playing against Harriet Hamilton/Alba Conejero (Jacksonville) and Cortina Pou/Fabian have a match with Ebru Yazgan/Pereira (Southern Miss). Doubles matches will start off the tournament at 8 a.m.
Alabama will be competing against 16 other schools in the championships, including Auburn, Jacksonville State, LSU, McNeese State, Mississippi State, Nicholls State, Northwestern State, Ole Miss, Samford, Troy, Tulane, UAB, Louisiana, Louisiana-Monroe, South Alabama and Southern Miss.
Live scoring will be available for the singles and doubles championships, along with the consolation final which begin on Monday, Oct. 15.
