On ending the season in Regional play:
"I'm pleased with the way we ended our regular season and the conference tournament. I'm not pleased with the way we played today. I think we'll be better next time."
On if nerves played an issue with UAB taking an early lead:
"We started our freshman pitcher and they got some little hits right out of the infield. They didn't have any hard hits, they were just dropping them in and getting a few runs right there. It got them going and we never bounced back."
On holding UAB scoreless during the 4-5-6 innings:
"I think we just realized we can play. They finally got themselves together and realized we were in a ball game and down a few runs and it's tough to play from behind."
On what the Regional experience can do for his younger players and the program:
"We're a young squad. We're a squad of sophomores and juniors so we look forward to being back in the regionals next year. Hopefully it will make Alcorn a bit tougher so when we do get back here, some of these games will be going our way."
