Alabama vs. Mississippi Postgame Notes
- The contest was the second overtime game for UA this year, the first being a home loss to Texas A&M on December 13.
- It was the 11th double-overtime contest in UA history with Alabama now standing at 9-2 in double-overtime games.
- The Tide's last overtime game against an SEC opponent was also against MSU in last year's SEC Tournament.
- UA's last double-overtime game against a regular-season SEC opponent was against Auburn in 1985. The last overall was against Purdue in 2001. UA won both of those as well.
- Alabama used a 12-0 run and held MSU scoreless for 5:00 of the second half to overcome the first-half deficit.
- Alabama won for the first time this season when facing a halftime deficit.
- Senario Hillman scored 19 of his 21 points in the second half and overtime.
- Gee held scoreless for the first 14:07 of second half before scoring on a breakaway dunk and finishing with a game-high 28 points.
- Gee's 28 points are the most by a UA player this season.
- JaMychal Green got his second-straight double-double, sixth of the season and fifth in SEC play with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Alabama vs. Mississippi Halftime Notes
- Alonzo Gee scored 13 of Alabama's first 19 points.
- Gee needed just nine minutes of total time on the floor to hit double-figures in scoring, his 22nd game in double-digits this season.
- MSU opened the game with a 4-0 lead and that along with two later four-point leads would be the biggest leads in a half that featured 10 lead changes and five ties.
- The low-scoring half saw 4:39 elapse (7:31-3:52) without either team hitting a field goal.
- In fact, the two teams connected on just four combined field goals in the final eight minutes of the half.
- UA's 29 first-half points marked the third time the squad has been held under 30 points in the opening half of an SEC game this season.
- UA trails at half for the fourth time this season in SEC play. The Tide is 0-7 this when trailing at intermission.
- Alabama held MSU to 4-17 three-point shooting in the opening half, well below MSU's season average 39 percent.
- Additionally, the Bulldogs attempted 17 three-pointers to UA's three. The 17 attempts are the second-most a UA opponent has attempted in the first half this season and the most by an SEC opponent.
