
Men’s Basketball Travels to Miami in SEC/ACC Challenge

The Crimson Tide and Hurricanes will meet for the fifth time overall and second since 2021
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's basketball team will travel to face the Miami Hurricanes in the 2026 SEC/ACC Challenge, the Southeastern Conference announced Friday. The game is set for Wednesday, Dec. 2 at the Watsco Center.
It will mark the fifth meeting between the Crimson Tide and Hurricanes in series history and second time in the last five seasons. The programs last met on Nov. 28, 2021 in the final round of the ESPN Events Invitational in Orlando, Fla., where the Tide defeated Miami, 96-64, at the HP Field House.
Facing the Challenge
- The two teams have met four times previously with Alabama leading the series 3-1
- Alabama is 6-5 against ACC opponents under Nate Oats
- The Crimson Tide has won its last two SEC/ACC Challenge meetings, defeating Clemson in 2025 and North Carolina in 2024
- Miami holds a 4-0 record when playing Alabama at Coleman Coliseum
- Miami defeated Alabama (73-66) back in 2015 for UA's only visit to Coral Gables during the 2015 NIT
- The Hurricanes finished last season with a 26-9 overall record and a 13-5 record in the ACC led by first year head coach Jai Lucas
