Soccer Blanks Jackson State to Remain Undefeated at Home

The University of Alabama women's soccer team scored early and often en route to a 20-0 victory over the Jackson State Tigers (0-5).
The Crimson Tide (7-1) saw 12 players score goals including Katie French who broke an 18-year old school record with five goals in the match. French also chipped in two assists scoring 12 points on the day which also topped another school record. French's hat trick was the first of her career, the 10th in Alabama history and the second for the Tide this season.
Dawn Nash picked up the game-winning goal when she took a pass from French and connected for a 1-0 lead 3:23 into the match.
The Tide broke 11 school records and six Southeastern Conference records including most goals in a match.
Coupled with her performance Friday night against UAB (two goals including the game-winner) French has scored seven goals in her last two matches.
Kylie Boyd scored her first collegiate goal as she capped the scoring for Alabama on the day. She also recorded her first collegiate assist and point nearly seven minutes earlier when she assisted on Jeannette Browning's first goal of the season.
Michele Evans, Rebecca Baker and Missy Keller also recorded their first goals and points of the season as five Alabama players finished with multiple goals.
Alabama will return to action on Friday night when the team hosts the Rice Owls before hitting the road for a Sunday afternoon match in Spartanburg, S.C.
