Widely regarded as one of the most respected athletic trainers in the country, Jeff Allen is in his 19th season at The University of Alabama and 37th consecutive season as an athletic trainer in collegiate athletics.
Alabama - Senior Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine (2007-Present)
- Oversees a staff of 27 athletic trainers responsible for the comprehensive medical care of all Alabama athletic teams
- Joined the Crimson Tide in 2007 as one of then-head coach Nick Saban's original hires
- Integral part of all six national championships during Saban's tenure at the Capstone
UCF - Head Athletic Trainer (2004-07)
- Served as the head athletic trainer at the University of Central Florida
- Was tasked with maintaining all sports medicine needs across the entire UCF athletics department
Chattanooga - Head Athletic Trainer (2000-04)
- Oversaw athletic training operations for all 16 varsity sports at UTC
- Directly managed all sports medicine duties associated with the Mocs' football program
Kentucky - Assistant Athletic Trainer (1997-2000)
- Held an assistant athletic trainer position with the Wildcats
- Contributed to the health and recovery programs for various UK athletic teams
Valdosta State - Assistant Athletic Trainer (1995-97)
- Worked as the head athletic trainer for football and baseball while holding an assistant athletic trainer title
- Managed both injury prevention and rehabilitation programs for all student-athletes
National Recognition
- Regular speaker at national and state-level athletic training conferences
- Featured speaker at National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), Southeast Athletic Trainers Association (SEATA) and state-level meetings in Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee
- Honored with the National Athletic Trainers Association's Division I Head Athletic Trainer of the Year Award at the 2018 symposium for his work during the Crimson Tide's 2017 national championship season
- One of the original creators of the SidelinER, a medical tent now used on nearly every sideline in college football and the NFL, developed in collaboration with The University of Alabama's College of Engineering
- Has numerous works published in The Journal of Athletic Training and Athletic Therapy Today

- Received a bachelor's degree in health and physical education from Georgia Southern University in 1993
- Earned his Master's degree from Valdosta State University in 1995
- Native of Marietta, Ga.
- Married to Mary, who is a professor in The University of Alabama's Speech-Language Pathology program
- Has one daughter, Makennah, who serves as an assistant coach for the Crimsonettes with Alabama's Million Dollar Band
