TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The No. 10/10 Alabama football team (3-0, 1-0 SEC) withstood a pair of lightning delays, rallying past Florida State (1-2, 0-1 ACC) for a 50-36 victory inside Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Following a 34-minute lightning delay in the second quarter—the second such delay of the game—the Crimson Tide scored 37 points and gained 388 yards while holding the Seminoles to just 15 points.

Alabama gained 567 yards on the day, including 320 yards through the air and 247 yards on the ground, thanks in large part to 376 all-purpose yards from Keelon Russell. The sophomore quarterback finished with 320 yards and three touchdowns on 23-of-30 passing while also adding a rushing touchdown and 56 yards on the ground.

Trae'shawn Brown led the Tide in rushing, posting 86 yards and touchdown. Four Crimson Tide rushers finished with at least 50 yards and EJ Crowell also added a rushing touchdown. Lotzier Brooks tallied the first 100-yard receiving game of his career, finishing the night with 101 yards on eight catches. Ryan Coleman-Williams, Kaleb Edwards and Cederian Morgan each hauled in touchdown receptions.

The Crimson Tide defense forced three interceptions on the night, as Bray Hubbard, Red Morgan and Ivan Taylor each recorded a pick on the night. On the line, Alabama held Florida State to just 94 yards of rushing. Luke Metz and Devan Thompkins led the Tide with six tackles apiece, with the latter also adding a sack. Terrance Green posted three tackles, including two for loss and a sack, while Yhonzae Pierre finished the night with five tackles, including one for loss, three quarterback hurries and one pass breakup.

The start of the game was delayed by an hour and 45 minutes due to lightning.
With 2:36 remaining in the second quarter, the game entered into a 34-minute delay due to lightning. Tonight's game marked the first time Alabama has played through a weather delay since Sept. 16, 2023, at USF.
Following the lightning delay, Alabama gained 119 of its 288 first-half yards in the final 2:36 of the second quarter.
