Crimson Tide's Quinn Selected to Lou Groza Award Watch List

Quinn is one of 35 players recognized in the preseason by the award given to the nation’s top placekicker
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama football's Lorcan Quinn was named to the 2026 Lou Groza Award Watch List, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced Friday.
Quinn is one of 35 student-athletes named to the preseason list for the Groza Award. Named for NFL Hall of Fame kicker Lou "The Toe" Groza, the award is given each year to the nation's top placekicker. A total of 20 semifinalists will be announced on Nov. 17 before being narrowed down to three finalists on Nov. 24. The winner of the 2026 Lou Groza Award will then be announced on Dec. 10 on ESPN as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
Alabama has never had a Groza Award winner in its storied history.

Placekicker, Sophomore
- Transferred to Tuscaloosa after spending his freshman season at Marshall
- Earned first team All-Sun Belt Conference honors for the Thundering Herd
- Racked up 101 points on 21-of-26 field goals and 38-of-39 PATs as a freshman
- Recorded four field goals of 50-plus yards to set a school record, including a season-long 55-yarder
- Added 71 kickoffs for 4,601 yards with 61 touchbacks for an average of 64.8 yards per boot, good for third nationally in 2025
