The Crimson Tide has three golfers inside the 15 after 18 holes played
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Alabama women's golf team carded a team score of 3-over par 291 on Friday to sit in fourth overall after the opening round of the Florida State Matchup.Â
Ryan Flynn leads the Tide after day one and sits in a tie for seventh overall at 1-under par 71, while Natachanok Tunwanna and Grace Crawford are tied for 15th after both carded a 1-over 73.Â
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Alabama finished the day ranked second on par 5 scoring with a team total of 6-under par (4.70)
- Ryan Flynn collected five birdies and four bogeys on the day to collect her team-leading sixth round of par or better
- Natachanok Tunwannarux (four birdies) and Grace Crawford (three birdies) combined for seven total birdies on their way to 1-over total in day one
- Harriet Lockley is in a tie for 24th overall at 2-over par 74
- Mattison Frick, who recorded the team's lone eagle of the day on the 475-yard par 5 11th , rounds out the Tide's starting five in a tie for 36th after shooting a 4-over 76
- Amanda Gyllner, who is competing as an individual, is in a tie for 31st at 3-over 76
TEAM RESULTS
- Tulsa leads the 12-team field at 3-under 285, followed by No. 18 Florida State at even par 288
- Eastern Michigan is in third at 2-over 290, one shot ahead of the Tide
