
Josh Cuevas Named to John Mackey Award Watch List

Cuevas is one of 46 student-athletes up for the nation’s top tight end honors
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama football's Josh Cuevas was named to the John Mackey Watch List, as announced by the award's committee Friday.
Cuevas is among 46 candidates from around the country named to the preseason list. The Mackey Award has been presented annually since 2000 to recognize the top tight end in college football, named in honor of former NFL Hall of Fame tight end John Mackey. Semifinalists will be announced on Oct. 30 before finalists are determined on Nov. 26. The 2025 winner will be announced live as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show on Dec. 12.
Alabama has never had a Mackey Award winner in its history.
