PITTSBURGH – Former University of Alabama wideout Germie Bernard was selected on night two of the 2026 NFL Draft. The Crimson Tide's leading wide receiver each of the last two seasons was selected by the hometown Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the NFL Draft.

- Germie Bernard became the first Alabama wideout drafted in the first two rounds since 2022 (Jameson Williams, 1st | John Metchie III, 2nd round).
- Since 2009, Alabama has produced 139 draft picks, the most by any college football program during that span

The 2026 NFL Draft will conclude with rounds four through seven on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. CT. The remaining rounds will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.

Bernard made an immediate impact after transferring to Alabama from Washington with head coach Kalen DeBoer. He played in and started 27 games from 2024-25, totaling 1,656 yards and nine touchdowns on 114 receptions. A versatile playmaker, Bernard also rushed 22 times for 138 yards and two scores to go with two completed passes in as many attempts across his two seasons at UA. As a senior, Bernard tied for fifth in the SEC and ranked second on the team in receiving touchdowns at seven while leading UA and tying for 11th in the league for total touchdowns with nine. In addition to pacing the team in scores, Bernard led all pass-catchers with 64 receptions and 862 yards in 2025. He also contributed 18 rushes for 101 yards and two scores on the ground while accumulating 15 yards on his two completed passes. In his first season in Tuscaloosa, Bernard led Alabama with 50 receptions totaling 794 yards and two touchdowns in addition to a two-point conversion. He added four rushes for 37 yards and a score in 2024. Prior to Alabama, the Las Vegas native played in 14 games with seven starts at Washington after beginning his career at Michigan State for one season in 2022.
