LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 25 Alabama women's tennis team (9-8, 3-6 SEC) fell to Kentucky (9-8, 3-6 SEC), 4-2, in a Sunday-road match.
Petra Sedlackova and Maria Martinez Vaquero highlighted the Crimson Tide with victories on courts one and four, respectfully, during singles play.
Match Notes
- After dropping the doubles point, Alabama collected its first point during singles play following a straight set win by Sedlackova on court one (6-3, 6-1)
- Marinez Vaquero secured the Tide's final point with a 2-6, 7-6(6), 6-1 decision on court four
- Sara Nayar was leading 5-4 in the second set on court five when the overall match was clinched
