The Crimson Tide picked up its fifth win in non-conference play and fourth-straight home victory
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team (5-2) concluded its non-conference schedule with a victory over Minnesota (6-5), 4-1, on Sunday at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.
Match Notes
- Alabama earned a clean sweep during doubles play after earning wins on all three courts
- The UA doubles duo of Margaux Maquet and Priya Nelson defeated Minnesota's Sofia Pinto and Jeselle Ante, 6-1, on court three
- On court two, the Crimson Tide's pairing of Maria Martinez-Vaquero and Maria Andrienko downed Aiva Schmitz and Arina Valitova, 6-3
- Sara Nayar and Klara Milicevic rounded out doubles play, beating Anali Kocevar and Mia Liepert on court one, 6-3
- Alabama saw victories on courts two, three and five in singles play, en route to clinching the match
- Milicevic and Nayar both earned straight-set wins, defeating Liepert (6-0, 6-1) and Xie (6-4, 6-4), respectively
