
No. 10/11 Alabama Football Wins Fourth Straight Game, Defeating No. 16/17 Vanderbilt 30-14

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The No. 10/11 Alabama (4-1, 2-0 SEC) football team delivered its second straight win over a top-25 opponent, defeating No. 16/17 Vanderbilt (5-1, 1-1 SEC), 30-14, Saturday afternoon in front of a sold out crowd at Nick Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Ty Simpson finished 23-of-31 through the air, throwing for 340 passing yards and two touchdowns. The Crimson Tide leaned on Jam Miller, who led the rushing attack with 136 yards on 22 carries and one touchdown. Alabama's receiving duo of Germie Bernard (5 catches, 82 yards) and Ryan Williams (6 catches, 98 yards) each hauled in a receiving score.
Alabama's defense frustrated Vanderbilt's offense throughout the game and recorded three takeaways, including two interceptions and one forced fumble. Justin Jefferson led the Tide with 14 total tackles, including nine solo stops, to go with one sack and one tackle for loss. Keon Sabb and Zavier Mincey were responsible for the Tide's two interceptions.

- With the victory, Alabama extended its home winning streak to 15 consecutive games, tied with Missouri for the second-longest active home winning streak in the nation
- The Crimson Tide is now 17-1 (.944) in SEC home openers since 2008. The Tide has outscored its league opponents 39.2-16.0 ppg in those games
- Head coach Kalen DeBoer improved to 17-3 (.850) in 20 career games against Associated Press Top 25 opponents and is 5-1 (.833) against ranked opponents since beginning his tenure at UA in 2024
- The victory stretches Coach DeBoer's mark in conference home debuts at the Division I level to 5-1 (.833), including a 2-0 start while leading the Tide
- Germie Bernard's 27-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter marks his fourth-consecutive game with a score
- Jam Miller is the first Alabama player to rush for over 100 yards in a game since Jalen Milroe (104 yards) on Nov. 30, 2024 vs. Auburn
