Larkin Thomason scored the lone goal for the Tide, converting a penalty kick in the 19th minute of action
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– The Alabama soccer team (8-4-1, 2-3-0 SEC) dropped a Southeastern Conference match to Oklahoma (9-3-1, 2-3-0 SEC) Thursday, falling 3-1 in the matchup.
Larkin Thomason paced the Crimson Tide, scoring the team’s lone goal off a penalty kick in the 19th minute of the game. Oklahoma saw goals from Kayla Keefer, in the ninth minute, and Ally Laccinole, in the 58th minute, in addition to an own goal from the Tide in the 85th minute.

How It Happened
- A free kick just past midfield opened scoring as Elle Canty played a quick ball over the top of the Tide’s backline for Kayla Keefer
- Ten minutes later, Larkin Thomason would be taken down in the box, setting her up for a penalty kick
- Thomason drove her shot high and to the left to even the score at 1-1
- The two teams would finish the half tied as UA paced the opening segment 9-7 in shots, forcing Oklahoma’s Caroline Duffy to make three saves
- Ally Laccinole notched the game-winning goal in the 58th minute, heading the ball into the back of the net off a corner kick from Lexi Dendis
- A cross from Oklahoma in the 85th minute would bounce off a UA player before finding its way into the back of the net for the final goal of the match
- The penalty kick was the second in SEC play for Thomason who has converted three shots from the spot
- She now ranks second on the team in goals (6) and points (15)
- Overall, Alabama led the game in shots (13-11) and shots on goal (6-4)
