Crimson Tide Players Advance in Singles, Doubles Main Draw

Matic Kriznik secured a pair of singles victories, while Jacob Olar and Andrii Zimnokh recorded a doubles win to advance to the next day at the ITA Fall Regional Championships
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Matic Kriznik and the doubles pairing of Jacob Olar and Andrii Zimnokh highlighted the Alabama men’s tennis team on Saturday, advancing to the next day’s events at the ITA Fall Regional Championships in their respective draws.
Kriznik recorded a pair of singles wins, topping Stefano D’Agostino from Ole Miss in three sets in the Round of 32, before downing North Alabama’s Lachlan Brain in straight sets in the Round of 16.
In doubles action, Olar and Zimnokh surpassed the duo of Marko Milosavlejic and David Krasner from Jacksonville State in doubles action.
Vit Kalina rounded out action in the consolation draw, defeating his opponent from Auburn in two sets.
Alabama will return to action tomorrow with singles matches beginning at 10 a.m. CT as two rounds of doubles will follow.
