Football Earns Four CSC Academic All-District Selections

The Crimson Tide ensemble was recognized for their performances on the field and in the classroom
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama football had four student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Football Team, the CSC announced Wednesday.
The 2024 Academic All-District Football teams, as selected by the CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Milroe advances to the CSC Academic All-America national ballot, as first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Jan. 28, 2025.
CSC Academic All-District Honorees
Olaus Alinen, Offensive Lineman
- Appeared in all 13 games for the Crimson Tide, primarily on special teams
- Progressing towards completing a double major in finance and economics
- Finished the fall semester with a perfect 4.00 grade-point average
Jalen Milroe, Quarterback
- Started all 13 games as Alabama's signal-caller this season
- Finished with 36 total touchdowns and 3,570 total yards in 2024
- Recipient of the 2024 William V. Campbell Trophy, college football's academic Heisman
- Graduated cum laude in December 2023 with a 3.52 GPA and completed his master's degree in sport management this December
- Earned a spot on the President's List and Dean's List multiple times while at the Capstone
- Selected to the SEC Academic Honor Roll on three occasions
- Named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team
Qua Russaw, Linebacker
- Appeared in all 13 games for Alabama, including six starts
- Totaled 36 tackles, including one sack (-6 yards), to go with two quarterback hurries, a pair of interceptions and one forced fumble
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in sport management
- Recorded a 3.55 GPA this past fall
Justice Haynes, Running Back
- Saw action in 12 games for the Crimson Tide
- Studied management while at Alabama
- Posted a 3.96 GPA during the fall semester
