Sedlackova will play in the championship round on Sunday

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Petra Sedlackova highlighted the Alabama women's tennis team's action at the Debbie Southern Fall Classic Saturday by advancing to the championship round of her flight. Sedlackova and doubles partner Sara Nayar also picked up their second win of the year to start the 2024-25 season 2-1 in doubles play.

Sedlackova earned a spot in Sunday's championship round of flight one after downing Avelina Sayfetdinova of Texas Tech in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1
Although Nayar and Sedlackova dropped their first match of the day, the doubles duo bounced back to defeat South Carolina's Kaitlyn Carnicella and Misa Malkin, 6-3
In the semifinals of flight seven, Nayar forced a third set against Arina Oreshchenkova of Texas Tech before falling 2-6, 6-1, 5-7
Klara Milicevic battled during her consolation match against Wake Forest's Whitley Pate, but fell short after a third set tiebreaker, 6-1, 1-6, 6-7(7)
