Men's Golf Opens Season with Win at Folds of Honor Collegiate
Our men's golf team started off its season with a bang, taking home the Folds of Honor Collegiate team championship. In addition, newcomer Dominic Clemons claimed medalist honors, becoming the first Tide golfer to win in his debut tournament since Justin Thomas did so in 2011. Safe to say some milkshakes were had!
Soccer Returns Home for Match with Louisiana Tech on Friday
Hard to believe the nonconference season is already coming to a close for our soccer team. Catch our women back in action at home on Friday when we host Louisiana Tech at the Alabama Soccer Stadium, beginning at 7 p.m. CT Great opportunity to bring out the family as its Big Al's Kids Club and Youth Night at the pitch.
Cross Country, Men's and Women's Tennis Begin Fall Seasons
Three more of our sports will begin their competitive seasons this weekend with the start of cross country and men's and women's tennis.
Cross country gets underway Friday morning at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. with the men's race scheduled for 7:30 a.m. CT followed by the women's race at 8:30 a.m. CT.
Men's tennis opens the fall slate at home, hosting the SEC Challenge Friday through Sunday. Matches will be going on throughout the day at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Our women's team heads to Greenville, S.C. and the campus of Furman University for the Debbie Southern Classic. Similar to the men's tournament, matches are scheduled to be played throughout the day.
Football to Face First Road Test
After playing its first two games at home, our football team is headed northwest for the first road matchup of the season with a trip to historic Camp Randall Stadium in Wisconsin. Saturday's contest with the Badgers will be an early one as we kick at 11 a.m. CT.
Volleyball Continues Road Swing
Our volleyball team remains on the road for its final tournament of the season, participating in the Roadrunner Classic in San Antonio. We will play a pair of matches on Friday, first against Sam Houston at 12:30 p.m. CT followed by UTSA at 7 p.m. CT before closing out the tournament with Central Arkansas on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT. Looking forward to having our team back in town next week as take on North Alabama on Wednesday in Foster Auditorium at 6 p.m. CT and Florida State next Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
Women's Golf Returns to Action Monday
Our women's golf team heads up the interstate for its second competition of the fall, taking part in the UAB Hoover Invitational. The tournament takes place Monday and Tuesday at the Hoover Country Club.
Softball Conference Schedule Announced
The Southeastern Conference announced its 2025 league schedule for softball this week with our first series booked for March 14-16 at home vs. Mississippi State. Other home series include Georgia (March 28-30), Oklahoma (April 12-14) and Missouri (April 25-27).
University Spotlight
We're a big fan of our four-legged friends around here, so today, we're spotlighting The University of Alabama Police Department's newest officer, Kenny. Kenny, who comes to the K-9 unit as a rescue from Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter, is a two-year-old mixed breed whose duty is to bring smiles and comfort to campus. If you see Kenny, be sure to give him a hello!
