Five Straight Wins for Men's Basketball
What a game and what a win last night by our men's basketball team! Our fans brought the energy in the 117-115 double overtime victory for head coach Nate Oats and his team over No. 20/17 Arkansas. That made it five straight victories for the Crimson Tide, who will look to keep things rolling with a pair of games next week. First, the team begins a stretch of playing three of its next four games on the road when we play at LSU on Saturday at 5 p.m. CT on the SEC Network. The team returns to Coleman Coliseum next Wednesday night when we host the Mississippi State Bulldogs for an 8 p.m. CT tip, which will be the lone home contest across the next two weeks.
Women's Basketball Host No. 3/3 South Carolina Tonight
Join our women's basketball team tonight when head coach Kristy Curry and her squad hosts the No. 3/3 South Carolina Gamecocks at 7:30 p.m. CT inside Coleman Coliseum. We enter the contest ranked No. 25 in the AP Poll and No. 24 in the Coaches Poll with a 20-5 overall record and 6-5 mark in conference play. It's been a great season so far for our ladies, who will be playing their fifth ranked opponent over the last six contests when the Gamecocks come to town. The final home game of the regular season – hard to believe we're almost at March Madness - comes against Texas on March 1 at 11 a.m. CT, which will also serve as Senior Day. We hope that you are able to come out and enjoy what has been a very fun team that continues to show a lot of grit and toughness each and every night. See you at Coleman Coliseum!

University Spotlight
I came across this article and thought it was pretty cool. The University of Alabama has launched an innovative college readiness program that is providing Alabama high school students a variety of ways to prepare for college. The program is aimed at any high schooler to help them prepare for things such as ACT test preparation and knowledge about the college admissions process, among other things. For more information about both programs and registration information, visit the Crimson Compass website. Â
