
Alabama Faces North Alabama in Home Opener, Travels to Chattanooga

The Crimson Tide will welcome the Lions to Tuscaloosa for a 7 p.m. CT kick at the Alabama Soccer Stadium before hitting the road for a Sunday match against Chattanooga
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After playing its first two games of the 2024 season on the road, the Alabama soccer team will host North Alabama on Thursday in the Crimson Tide's home opener. The game is scheduled to kick off on SEC Network+ at 7 p.m. CT.
Following its home game against North Alabama, the Crimson Tide will travel to Chattanooga, Tenn., to face the Mocs in a 5 p.m. match at Finley Stadium.

- Helping to kick off the new school year, the Alabama soccer team will host a Welcome Back Tailgate at Thursday's game
- The first 100 students will receive a free Jack's burger
- Fans can also receive a free Alabama Soccer Windshield Sticker

Game Notes
- Alabama will play its first home game of the 2024 season inside the Alabama Soccer Stadium when the team kicks off against North Alabama on Thursday
- It is only the second time in series history that the two squads have gone head-to-head and the first meeting since a 3-0 Crimson Tide victory during the 2022 season
- After hosting the Lions, Alabama will travel to Chattanooga for a Sunday matchup
- It will be the 10th meeting between the two schools and the first since UA captured a 6-0 victory at home in 2022
- UA is coming off a recent win, defeating North Texas, 2-1, in its last outing
- Kiley Kukan netted her first collegiate goal during the match, before Gianna Paul notched the game winner a minute after UNT tied the game at 1-1
- The Tide returns 19 student-athletes off of last year's roster, including 2024 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch honoree Gianna Paul
- In addition to Paul, Gessica Skorka highlights the returners and earned the No. 20 spot on TopDrawerSoccer's Preseason Top 100 Players list
- Paul and Skorka round out a list of five UA athletes to be named to the SEC Preseason Watch List as Leah Kunde, Nadia Ramadan and Melina Rebimbas garnered recognition
- Nine new faces join the mix as Alabama welcomes six freshmen and transfers Zivana Labovic (Michigan State), Melina Rebimbas (North Carolina) and Nedya Sawan (Portland) to the Capstone
