2024 SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships Around the Corner for No. 4/15 Alabama

The Crimson Tide will make the trip to Gainesville, Fla., to compete in the 2024 SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's and women's track and field teams will take part in the 2024 SEC Outdoor Championships over the weekend, in Gainesville, Fla., at the Percy Beard Track inside the James G. Pressly Stadium. The Crimson Tide will be represented by a delegation of 50 student-athletes competing in 36 different events over the three-day meet.
The Crimson Tide opens the three-day Championship in the men's decathlon 100-meter dash with John Landers jumpstarting the action at 10:30 a.m. CT Thursday.
The UA men enter the postseason ranked No. 4 while the Crimson Tide women roll in as the 15th-ranked squad in the country.
THE 2024 SEC OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

- Time: First field event will begin at 11 a.m. CT in the men's hammer throw, with the first track event starting at 10:30 a.m. in the men's decathlon 100m

LAST TIME OUT
- The Crimson Tide collected four first-place finishes at the Desert Heat Classic: Caelyn Harris (long jump), Allan Kiplagat (steeplechase), Corde Long (400m hurdles) and Brenda Tuwei (3,000m)
- Long returned the fourth-fastest time (49.26) in the 400-meter hurdles in the NCAA this season
- Harris collected the third-farthest jump in school history in the long jump with a personal-best 6.54-meter (21-5.50) jump
- Tuwei ran the seventh-fastest time in program history (9:44.25) in the 3,000-meter race
