Alabama Concludes Regular Season in Arizona for Desert Heat Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 2/15 Alabama men's and women's track and field teams will travel to Tucson, Ariz., for the Desert Heat Classic, as UA competes at Drachman Stadium Saturday, April 27.

The Crimson Tide opens the one-day competition in the women's hammer throw with Chandler Hayden leading things off at 2 p.m. CT.

Time: First field event will begin at 2 p.m. CT with the women's hammer throw, while the first track event starts at 7:25 p.m. with the women's 4x100-meter relay

Distance runner phenom Doris Lemngole clocked the second-fastest time in collegiate history in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase during last weekend's Wake Forest Invitational
Lemngole's time of 9:22.31 gave the freshman standout the NCAA-leading performance, as well as the school record

Oussama El Bouchayby concluded the day with the 11^th-fastest 800-meter time in the NCAA this season, clocking 1:46.47 en route to the fourth-fastest time in school history
