Softball Closes out Regular Season Home Slate
Our softball team will finish up its regular season home schedule this weekend, hosting No. 3 Tennessee at Rhoads Stadium. First pitch for both Friday and Saturday's games is set for 6 p.m., while Sunday's Power of Pink series finale will begin at 1 p.m. For Saturday's game, our marketing team will be giving away a limited amount of Coach Murphy bobbleheads, so make sure you are there early! Tickets can be purchased through the Alabama Ticket Office or Seat Geek.
Play Underway at SEC Men's Golf Championships
Our men's golf team is currently competing at the 2024 SEC Championships in St. Simons Island, Georgia, where we finished up the second day of play in seventh place, moving up two spots from day one. There is one more round of stroke play on Friday before match play begins on Saturday.
Women's Golf Gears up for NCAA Regionals
Congratulations to our women's golf team on advancing to its 18th consecutive NCAA regional tournament and 25th overall. The Tide is seeded seventh in the Cle Elum Regional in Cle Elum, Wash., which will take place May 6-8 at the par 72, 6,306-yard Tumble Creek Club.
Update on Golf Facility
While we're on the subject of golf, we're making great progress on our new facility and course for our men's and women's golf teams. A big thank you to all of the donors, who made this project possible. Look forward to seeing the finished product later this year!
Baseball Begins Road Swing at Ole Miss
Our baseball team will play its next seven games on the road, beginning Thursday evening with a series in Oxford against the Ole Miss Rebels. The final home weekend of the regular season will take place May 10-12 against the LSU Tigers where we will have several activations and giveaways on hand for those in attendance. Tickets still available!
Rowing Closes out Regular Season
Our rowing team will participate in its final regular season regatta this weekend at the Lake Wheeler Invite in Raleigh, N.C. Joining us at the event are teams from Boston College, Boston University, Clemson, Duke, Georgetown, Iowa, Kansas, Louisville, Miami, Navy, Syracuse, UCF, UNC, Tennessee, Tulsa, Penn and Washington State.
Track and Field Regular Season Comes to a Close
Our track and field teams will wrap up the regular season portion of the outdoor season in Tucson, Ariz., this weekend at the Desert Heat Classic. The one-day meet is slated to begin at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 27.
Crimson Choice Awards
We celebrated another incredible year on Monday evening with our annual Crimson Choice Awards. It was great to see so many of our student-athletes and coaches in attendance as we recognized the many accomplishments of our teams.
Bama Blitz
I want to take a moment to thank the 326 donors who contributed $75,026 to the Crimson Tide Scholarship Fund during the seventh-annual Bama Blitz on April 16-18. The generosity of these donors exceeded our goal of fully funding an annual athletics scholarship during the two-day online giving event. I'd also like to thank Rochelle and Michael Koslin whose generous challenge gift was instrumental in our success.
