
Women’s Golf Earns 18th Consecutive NCAA Women’s Golf Regional Appearance

The Crimson Tide will compete in the Cle Elum regional site in Washington
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's golf team was one of 12 teams selected to compete in the 2024 NCAA Women's Golf Regionals, announced Wednesday afternoon. The Crimson Tide earned the No. 7 seed in the Cle Elum Regional in Cle Elum, Wash. which will take place at the par 72, 6,306-yard Tumble Creek Club, from May 6-8.
With this year's selection, the Crimson Tide will make its 18th consecutive regional appearance under head coach Mic Potter and its 25th appearance in the event overall.

"We are very excited to be traveling to the state of Washington for the NCAA Cle Elum Regional. Most of our team have never visited the Pacific Northwest so this is a new opportunity. It is also an opportunity for us to move closer to our goal of competing for a national championship. If we stay calm and composed, and execute the way we are capable of, we can compete with the best."
NCAA Cle Elum Regional Information
- The 12-team field is headlined by No. 1 seed Stanford, who is ranked No. 1 in the nation, while No. 2 seed Duke, No. 3 Arizona State, No. 4 Virginia and No. 5 San Jose State round out the region's top-five seeds
- The remaining teams in the Cle Elum Regional include: No. 6 Washington, No. 8 Virginia Tech, No. 9 Kansas, No. 10 Long Beach State, No. 11 Sacramento State and No. 12 Seattle
- Each of the six regional sites will feature 12 teams and six individuals, with the top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional site advancing to the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships in Carlsbad, Calif. at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, from May 17-22
- Alabama has won the NCAA Regional four times: 2011 Daytona Beach (Fla.) Regional, 2013 Auburn (Ala.) Regional, 2017 Athens (Ga.) Regional and 2018 Tallahassee (Fla.) Regional
- The Crimson Tide has advanced to nationals 15 times under head coach Mic Potter and brought home the national championship title once in 2012.
