The Crimson Tide secured the doubles point as well as singles victories from Filip Planinsek, Matias Ponce De Leon, Andrii Zimnokh and Zach Foster in the win
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– The Alabama men's tennis team (14-8, 3-3 SEC) captured a Southeastern Conference victory over Arkansas (14-7, 1-4 SEC) on Friday, defeating the Razorbacks 5-2 at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Filip Planinsek and Andrii Zimnokh, ranked 69th, captured an upset victory over No. 29 Bozo Barun and Jared Horwood as UA opened the day by winning the doubles point. Planinsek followed with the first singles win with a victory on court one, before Matias Ponce De Leon and Zimnokh posted victories on courts three and two, respectively, to clinch the match. Zach Foster would add a point to the overall score with a win on court six.
