
Vit Kalina Named to SEC All-Freshman Team

Kalina is the 11th player in program history to be named to the all-freshman team
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Vit Kalina was named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team, the league office announced Thursday.
Kalina is the 11th player in program history to earn all-freshman team honors and is the first to do so since teammate Andrii Zimnokh notched the selection in 2024.
Vit Kalina, SEC All-Freshman Team
- Played majority of season at both No. 1 singles and doubles, climbing his way up from the No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles positions to start the season
- Has played 10 conference matches at the No. 1 position
- Highest ranked true freshman in the nation in doubles
- Holds a team-leading national ranking as he and Andrii Zimnokh rank No. 9 nationally
- Ranked No. 88 in singles
- Competed in the ITA All-American Championships in the fall
