TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– The Alabama men's tennis team (15-8, 4-3 SEC) tallied its fourth straight win Sunday, and third consecutive victory against a Southeastern Conference foe, defeating LSU (11-8, 1-7 SEC) with a 5-2 victory at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.

UA posted back-to-back wins in singles action as Dimic and Planinsek secured wins on courts five and three, respectively. Two matches later, Jones clinched the match on court four, while Andrii Zimnokh added a victory at No. 2 to conclude the day.
From Head Coach George Husack
"What an outstanding weekend for the team. They showed tremendous maturity, resilience and determination. We stressed energy, creating energy all weekend, and the guys supported each other from start to finish. Matic and Roan responded so well this afternoon after Friday's matches. Filip never relented against a couple of very hard-hitting giants. Zach (Foster) competed extremely well in his return to competition. Matias (Ponce De Leon) has been on such a good path since Vandy and is focused on being the best version of himself out there and it shows; and our lone freshman, Andrii, ate up the moment and challenge with the move up to No. 2, like a veteran. So proud of them all as they continue to build on their good habits and keep the chains moving forward."
