Alabama Track and Field Splits Squad for this Weekend's Tiger Paw and David Hemery Valentine Invitational

The Crimson Tide will send delegates to Clemson, S.C., as well as Boston, Mass., to compete in the two-day meets over the weekend
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's and women's track and field teams will split up for a pair of two-day meets over the weekend. The Crimson Tide will send 55 student-athletes to Clemson, S.C., for the Tiger Paw Invitational at the Clemson Indoor Complex, with an additional nine making the trip to Boston, Mass., as it competes in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational inside the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.
The Crimson Tide opens the two-day Tiger Paw Invitational in the women's long jump with Miracle Ailes leading things off at 11 a.m. CT Friday morning.
UA also opens the two-day David Hemery Valentine Invitational in the women's 3,000-meter with Hilda Olemomoi getting things started at 5:37 p.m. CT Friday.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Crimson Tide posted six first-place finishes: Chandler Hayden (women's weight throw), Miracle Ailes (women's high jump), Ruben Banks (men's weight throw), Matthew Weaver (men's unseeded 200-meter dash), Tarsis Orogot (men's 200-meter dash) and Khaleb McRae (men's 400-meter dash)
- Khaleb McRae, in the men's 400-meter dash, posted a national-leading, world-leading and new personal-best time of 45.02.
- Louis Martinez broke the school record in the men's pole vault, giving him a new personal-best with a 5.40 (17-8.50) mark
- Third consecutive week Hayden and Banks swept the weight throw event

- Alabama will be back in action at the 2024 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships, Feb. 23-24, held in Fayetteville, Ark.
