11 Student-Athletes Selected to Compete in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

The Crimson Tide had six representatives chosen to represent the men’s side, while five student-athletes were chosen to represent the women’s side
INDIANAPOLIS – 11 members of the Alabama track and field program were selected to compete in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, the organization announced Wednesday.
The Crimson Tide's contingent on the women's side features Miracle Ailes, Chandler Hayden, Doris Lemngole Hilda Olemomoi and Mye'Joi Williams. On the men's side, Ruben Banks, Hasani Barr, Khaleb McRae, Samuel Ogazi, Taris Orogot and Chris Robinson will make the trek to Boston.
Five of Alabama's medals won at the SEC Indoor Championships last weekend were claimed by four of the Crimson Tide national qualifiers.
CRIMSON TIDE MEN
- Ruben Banks will participate in the weight throw
- Hasani Barr will take part in the 4x400-meter relay
- Khaleb McRae and Chris Robinson will both race in the 400-meter dash as well as the 4x400-meter relay
- Samuel Ogazi will be a part of the 4x400-meter relay team
- Taris Orogot will compete in the 200-meter dash
CRIMSON TIDE WOMEN
- Miracle Ailes will participate in the high jump
- Chandler Hayden will take on the weight throw
- Doris Lemngole and Hilda Olemomoi will compete in both the 3,00-meter and 5,000-meter runs
- Mye'Joi Williams will engage in the shot put
UP NEXT
- Alabama will travel to Boston, March 7-9, for the NCAA Indoor Championships
- The national meet will be held at the TRACK at New Balance
