BATON ROUGE, La. – Alabama track and field resumed its outdoor season Friday with the Battle on the Bayou, hosted by Southeastern Conference foe LSU.
In only her second collegiate meet, Catalina Rodriguez recorded a PR-setting 62.94-meter (206-6) for a fourth-place finish in the women's hammer throw. The performance moved her to No. 6 all-time at UA. On the track, Hamdani Benahmed (men's 1,500m | 3:44.64) and Alexander Osayemi (men's 400m hurdles | 51.09, PR) clocked fourth and fifth-place finishes in their respective events.
The Crimson Tide will return to the track Saturday for the final day of the Battle on the Bayou.
