Alabama Track and Field Capture Four Medals on Final Day of 2024 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships

Victor Kiprop (bronze | men’s 3,000m), Doris Lemngole (silver | women’s 3,000m), Hilda Olemomoi (bronze | women’s 3,000m) and Chris Robinson (bronze | men’s men’s 400m) highlight the final day of the conference meet
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Alabama track and field's Chris Robinson (men's 400m), Victor Kiprop (men's 3,000m), Doris Lemngole (women's 3,000m) and Hilda Olemomoi (women's 3,000m) took home medals in their respective events on the final day of the 2024 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Chris Robinson was Alabama's first podium finisher of the day with a bronze-medal winning performance in the men's 400-meter dash after he clocked a 45.62.
Doris Lemngole and Hilda Olemomoi both collected medals in the women's 3000-meter run after capturing the top-two spots in their heat. Lemngole's time of 9:06.21 ultimately earned her a silver medal while Olemomoi's time of 9:06.39 awarded her bronze.
Victor Kiprop rounded out the Crimson Tide's medal-winning performances with a third-place finish in the men's 3000-meter run after clocking a 7:52.87.
In the last event of the 2024 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships, the men's 4x400-meter relay squad of Samuel Ogazi, Corde Long, Tarsis Orogot and Chris Robinson originally claimed gold before being disqualified for a lane violation.
In total, Alabama would claim four silver medals and three bronze medals, in addition to 17 top-10 finishes while in Fayetteville. Three different student-athletes would also adjust UA's all-time top-10 lists over the two-day meet.
The UA women finished the conference meet in ninth place with 35 points while the UA men finished 10th with 31 points.
CRIMSON TIDE TOP FINISHES
- Miracle Ailes, with a 1.75-meter (5-8.75) jump, gave the Tide a ninth-place finish in the women's high jump
- Alan de Falchi finished tenth in the men's shot put with a 17.63-meter (57-10.25) throw
- On the track, Arthur Graham finished 10th in the men's mile after clocking a 4:10.70
- Chris Robinson, with a bronze-medal winning performance, clocked a 45.62 in the men's 400-meter dash
- Oussama El Bouchayby finished eighth in the men's 800m with a time of 1:53.00
- Doris Lemngole claimed silver after clocking a 9:06.21 in the women's 3000-meter run
- Hilda Olemomoi followed up with bronze in the women's 3000-meter run with a time of 9:06.39
- Victor Kiprop claimed bronze in the men's 3000-meter run after clocking a 7:52.87
