Hilda Olemomoi Claims Bronze in the 5,000-Meter on Day Two of the NCAA Indoor Championships

Olemomoi’s 15:17.27 is a new personal-best and secured the Crimson Tide six points in the women’s team standings
BOSTON – In the final event for the Crimson Tide of the second day at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, Hilda Olemomoi claimed the bronze medal in the women's 5,000-meter, with Doris Lemngole taking fourth 0.16 seconds later.
Olemomoi crossed the finish line in 15:17.27, giving the sophomore a bronze medal along with a new personal-best in the 5,000-meter. Lemngole finished 0.16 seconds later, giving her a fourth-place finish in the same event.
Tarsis Orogot will compete for a podium finish in Saturday's running of the men's 200-meter dash after clocking a 20.52 in the prelims.
At the conclusion of day two, the Alabama women's contingent sat in sixth-place.
The final day of the national meet will get underway at 12 p.m. CT Saturday with Miracle Ailes set to compete in the women's high jump
