Football Adds 21 Players on First Day of Early Signing Period

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama football announced the addition of 21 student-athletes to its 2024-25 recruiting class on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.
The newest group of signees come from nine states and one country – California (7), Georgia (3), Alabama (2), Florida (2), Mississippi (2), Nevada (1), New Jersey (1), Ohio (1) and Texas (1) along with Canada (1).
Listed by position, the Crimson Tide added to its roster – four offensive linemen, four linebackers, three defensive backs, three defensive linemen, two tight ends, two wide receivers and one apiece at punter, quarterback and running back.
Among the 21 players added during the early signing period are:
- Four signees that are five-star prospects (Michael Carroll, Dijon Lee Jr., Jackson Lloyd, Keelon Russell) and 15 players that are four-star recruits by at least one of the following: 247Sports, 247Composite, On3, On3 Consensus, Rivals.com and/or ESPN.com
- Fourteen newcomers that were ranked in the ESPN300: Lotzeir Brooks, Michael Carroll, Akylin Dear, Micah DeBose, Kaleb Edwards, Justin Hill, Darrell Johnson, Dijon Lee Jr., Jackson Lloyd, Chuck McDonald III, Keelon Russell, Abduall Sanders Jr., Ivan Taylor
- Thirteen players who were listed on the Rivals250: Michael Carroll, Akylin Dear, Micah DeBose, Justin Hill, Darrell Johnson, Dijon Lee Jr., Jackson Lloyd, Chuck McDonald III, Luke Metz, Keelon Russell, Abduall Sanders Jr., Ivan Taylor
