Alabama Football’s Jalen Milroe Named Pop Warner Award Winner

The Crimson Tide signal-caller is the first player in program history to receive the honor
LANGHORNE – Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe was named the recipient of the Pop Warner Little Scholars College Football Award, as announced by Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. on Thursday.
Milroe was one of three finalists for the Warner, an award that seeks to recognize a student-athlete that leads on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. The Warner is presented as part of the 67th Pop Warner Super Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., which is being held on Dec. 7-14.
The Alabama quarterback is the first Crimson Tide player to win the distinction in its 15-year existence.

Quarterback (2021-present)
- Twice a team captain for the Tide, helping Alabama to a pair of College Football Playoff appearances and two SEC Championships
- Totaled 77 total touchdowns at Alabama, managing 5,824 yards and 44 touchdowns through the air in addition to rushing for 1,570 yards and 33 scores
- Graduated cum laude in December 2023 with a 3.52 grade-point average and will complete his master's degree in sport management this month
- Earned multiple selections to the President's List and Dean's List numerous at the Capstone
- A three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll representative
- Named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team
- A consistent contributor to the Tide's community service efforts, Milroe volunteers his time in both the Tuscaloosa community and his hometown of Katy, Texas
- Represented UA at the joint meeting of the SEC Student-Athlete Leadership Council and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
