Former Alabama players make an impact in Week 11 of the NFL season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The National Football League concluded Week 11 of the regular season Monday evening. Below is a look at how former Alabama players performed on the gridiron last week.
The Lions used a pair of former Crimson Tide offensive weapons to post a 52-6 rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jameson Williams hauled in four of his six targets for a season-high 124 yards and a touchdown, while Jahmyr Gibbs totaled 123 yards and one score on the ground to go with a 54-yard reception. The Lions' defense was paced by safety Brian Branch, who continued his productive sophomore campaign with seven total tackles, including five solo stops.
Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney guided the Green Bay Packers to a narrow 20-19 win on the road against the Chicago Bears. Jacobs rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries and added four catches for 58 yards. McKinney tallied a season-high nine total tackles from his safety position, managing six solo stops.
Tua Tagovailoa was efficient once again in Miami's takedown of the Las Vegas Raiders, completing 28-of-36 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns in the Dolphins' 34-19 win. Jerry Jeudy starred for the Cleveland Browns, as the wideout contributed six catches on 11 targets for a season-high 142 yards and one touchdown on Sunday afternoon against the host New Orleans Saints.
Brian Robinson Jr. continued his solid play this season in a primetime pairing against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football. Robinson Jr. led the Commanders' offensive effort, totaling 16 carries for 63 yards and a touchdown to go along with one reception for a nine-yard gain.
Quinnen Williams spent the day in the Indianapolis Colts' backfield last Sunday, recording seven total tackles, including two for loss and a sack, to go with three quarterback hits. A pair of defensive backs provided solid performances in a divisional contest between the Steelers and Ravens. Pittsburgh's Minkah Fitzpatrick notched seven tackles, four of which were solo stops, as the Steelers snuck by Baltimore with an 18-16 win to claim the top spot in the AFC North Standings. Fitzpatrick's counterpart, Marlon Humphrey, padded his stat sheet with three solo tackles, including a tackle for loss, while adding a pass defense and an interception.
